SPECIAL EVENTS


Two Wheel Tuesdays
August 9 at 5pm
No motor? No problem? For two Tuesdays in August, race cars will not be permitted on the road course at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR). Instead, the two-mile road course is open and available to non-motorized modes of transportation as the south Florida track hosts Two Wheel Tuesdays. A different style of performance, power and speed will be the featured activity on August 9 as PBIR implements the motor-less events. Cyclists, runners and rollerbladers will be the only modes of transportation allowed on the two-mile, 11-turn track. Admission to Two Wheel Tuesdays is $5 per entry. Gates open at 5pm and close at 9pm.



Free Admission for Fans; Test and Tune Entry Only $10 during
Fan Appreciation Day – August 10
Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) hosts Fan Appreciation Day. All spectators and crew members receive free admission to PBIR, while those interested in Test and Tune pay $10, a regular $25 fee. Held on PBIR’s all-concrete drag strip, the Test and Tune is open to all makes and models. New and current racers can bring their favorite drag car to PBIR and see what it can run in the quarter-mile. Gates open at 6pm. Test and Tune entry for Fan Appreciation Day is $10; crew, spectators and children are free.

 


Quarter-Mile Test and Tune
Friday, August 12 at 6pm
Palm Beach International Raceway hosts the weekly Test and Tune. Held on PBIR’s all-concrete drag strip, the Test and Tune is open to all makes and models. Bring your favorite drag car to PBIR and see what it can run in the quarter-mile. Gates open at 6pm. Test and Tune entry is $25, crew and spectator prices are $10 and children 12 and under are free.



IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Super Series Points Race
Saturday, August 13 at 4pm
The monthly points races for prizes and bragging rights continues with the IHRA Summit Super Series Points race. Gates open at 4pm, time runs are at 5:30pm, and eliminations begin at 7pm. A spectator or crew ticket is $15. Children 12 and under are free. Drag Race and Swap Meet Sunday
Sunday, August 14 at 7am
Spend a Sunday at Palm Beach International Raceway for the Drag Race and Swap Meet. A great opportunity for new fans to experience some of the area’s best drag racers as Quick 16 Dragster and Quick 16 Doorcars headline this first-time event. Fans of all ages will watch qualifying sessions and the elimination rounds until one driver is crowned champion. Gamblers races have been set for Top Eliminator, Super Eliminator, Jr. Dragsters and Street Bikes. Those looking to try their hand at drag racing can participate in the Test and Tune segment of the day. In addition to the action on the drag strip, car enthusiasts can take a stroll over to the swap meet to find that hard to locate part for their automobile. Gates open at 7am and racing begins at 9am. Go Kid Racing
Weekly on Sundays
On Sunday, MRP Motorsport will host the “Go Kid Racing kart school from 9am to 11:30am. Aspiring racers ages five to nine learn the fundamentals of karting with classroom and on-track instruction.
