As the Palm Beach Grand Prix takes to the road course this weekend, spectators are invited to take a ride around Palm Beach International Raceway with all proceeds benefitting the Grand Marshal Brian Johnson’s charity at the Sarasota Children’s Hospital.

The music room at the Sarasota Children’s Hospital was named after Johnson, the lead man for AC/DC, in 2008. Johnson will serve as the Grand Marshal for the three-day racing event. On Friday, rides will begin at 4:30 p.m., on Saturday at 5 p.m. and on Sunday at noon. All proceeds will be given to the Sarasota Children’s Hospital. A minimum donation is $50.

Practice begins at 8:00 a.m. daily. Friday’s feature event is the Klub Sport Porsche Challenge beginning at 1 p.m. On Saturday, the feature race begins at 1 p.m. and a Supercar show will be held. Sunday is the 3-hour Palm Beach Grand Prix at 1:30 p.m. Sunday will also feature “Hot Rod Sunday” on the drag strip. The Palm Beach International British Car Show featuring the 50^th anniversary Jaguar E-type will be on Sunday as well.

“The Palm Beach Grand Prix weekend will be a full weekend,” said PBIR President Jason Rittenberry. “We have road racing, car shows and drag racing. This event offers something for everyone. Plus, having the front man for AC/DC here will be awesome.”

A variety of newly added spectator viewing areas will be available for this event. Spectator full event admission is $45. Friday only admission is $15 Saturday only admission is $25 and Sunday only admission is $25. Juniors 12 years old and under are free.
